“I have to go before anyone sees me,” he said.

“You’ll be back soon, won’t you?”

“As soon as I can,” he replied. He had fooled neither Zelda nor himself with his answer.

“You will keep your promise…?”

“I won’t break my promise,” he assured her. He brought his Ocarina to his lips and played a few haunting notes. Before the tune ended he had vanished in a swirl of light.

This is for *CallistoHime's Illustration Contest. ='D (GARGH! I've been working on this picture for so long! I consider this to be one of the first "fluff scenes". It's not exactly... happy, though. :XD: But the scene put such an image in my mind.

For the sky, I referenced tutorial from *Sadir89. She makes some very nice tutorials for skies. ^^

Edit: For those of you who are curious, this piece did end up winning third place in the judging contest and second in the popular vote. I'm honored to get a placing! (I don't think I'm even worthy for this. ;_; ) Thank you for all your support!

:clap::hug::glomp::dance: Love it! The lighting is beautiful and very eye catching, and I love the emotion in her expression. Beautiful composition too.

Now, I would never write fluff, would I? Okaaaaay, so maybe all I write it fluff and angst :XD:
