Magical Moments - Darkness

"Farewell...
Since I will never see you a second time,
it feels like my chest is being hollowed out

First off, let me mention that is for the contest in The theme is "magical moments" (more info about it can be read here: [link] ) and I chose darkness. And who better than to exemplify it than Alois? I wanted to lean more toward symbolism rather than having something surrounded by said element.

Character-wise, I loved Alois in this moment of the anime (well, I didn't like how he was completely screwed over, but still...), he seemed so trapped by the "darkness" that had suddenly taken him. The spider web, the ash falling and the heavy shadows all represent the world that Alois is surrounded by in his mind not just when he gets... stabbed... but all throughout most of the anime. And just like Alois, I think there are moments in our lives when we have darkness in our hearts.

By the way, I originally wanted to call this, "In the Stillness of the Shining Sky" (after the song), but due to the rules of the contest, I was unable to. XD

Edit: This picture made it into the quarter finals of the contest! Woo!

Edit 2: I was experimenting with something new with editing, so I decided to give this a more "dreamy" and "soft" look.

Edit 3: This made it into the semi-finals. @_@ I didn't think it would get that far. I thought it would at least make it to the quarter finals, but not the semi-finals. =o Well, I'm satisfied it made it this far. XD
